Cut Fiber Caused Windstream Outage

A spokesman for Windstream said a widespread broadband outage in the Stephens County area Monday was the result of a cut fiber. The spokesman said the cut fiber happened in the Martin area Monday morning. According to Windstream, the outage lasted from about 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., when services were restored.
