A Toccoa man is injured after an accident involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in HabershamCounty late last week.
According to the Toccoa post of the Georgia State Patrol, the accident occurred at the intersection of Georgia Highway 17 and Antioch Church Road last Friday around 12:30 p.m.
Authorities said that a 1999 Chevy Blazer driven by 53-year-old Susan Christie Ridley of Clarkesville was attempting to turn from Highway 17 onto Antioch Church Road.
The GSP reported that as Ridley turned, she turned in front of a 2012 Honda motorcycle driven by 25-year-old Matthew Ryan Mulkey of Toccoa, who was traveling in the opposite direction on Highway 17.
The two vehicles collided and Mulkey was thrown from his motorcycle.
According to the GSP, Mulkey was airlifted to GradyMemorialHospital in Atlanta with lower extremity injuries.
Ridley was not injured.
The report from the Georgia State Patrol stated that Ridley told authorities that she did not see the motorcycle as she made the turn.
The Georgia State Patrol said charges are pending.
