NTHS Induction At Currahee Campus

North Georgia Technical College honors students inducted in to the National Technical Honor Society.

The special ceremony took place last month on the Currahee Campus of North Georgia Tech.

NTHS is America’s highest award for excellence in career and technical education. The mission of the organization is to honor student achievement and leadership, promote educational excellence, and enhance career opportunities. NTHS members will receive recognition in the form of identification on their transcripts, a special seal on their diploma, and white stoles on their graduation robes.

For this honor, students must be nominated by an instructor and must maintain a 3.7 GPA.

Stephens County residents receiving this honor included Denise Dill in Applied Business Technology Diploma, Tabitha Bramlett in Culinary Arts AAS, and Beverly Edwards in Industrial Systems Technology.

Also, in March the following students were inducted in the Clarkesville Campus ceremony: Kristina Arnold in Business Administrative Technology AAS, Jessica Kennedy in Clinical Laboratory Technology AAS, Tracey Cawthon in Medical Assisting Diploma, Kimberly Andrews in Networking Specialist AAS, and Associate of Science in Nursing students Pamila Besaw and Kimberly Smith.

North Georgia Technical College President Dr. Gail Thaxton said that the school is proud to have these students represent North Georgia Tech, adding that the students have earned this achievement through their hard work and will be successful no matter what they undertake because in order to reach this point, the students have developed good habits and attitudes.
