No One Injured in Stephens Co. Bus Accident Monday

October 24, 2013

Stephens County School Superintendent Sherrie Whiten said no students were injured in a minor bus accident earlier this week.

According to Whiten, it happened while students were headed home Monday after school on Avalon Road in Martin.

Whiten said that the bus and a Hart EMC truck brushed against each other.

She went on to say that the school system sent another bus, which picked up the 10 or so students remaining on the bus involved and finished that bus’s route.

Elsewhere, the Georgia State Patrol reports that no one was injured in an accident Tuesday afternoon on Rose Lane.

According to the GSP, the accident occurred just before 4 p.m. when one vehicle struck another from behind as the first vehicle attempted to turn onto Ellen   Court from Rose Lane.

Authorities said that no citations were issued in that accident.
