Ninth District Opportunity is partnering with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on a housing survey.
The survey, taking place now through February 4, is asking people in the community about their housing situation and various factors that affect people’s ability to obtain housing.
According to officials with Ninth District Opportunity, the simple survey asking questions about a person’s housing status as of January 28 will be used to help legislators and service providers determine the number of homeless and unstably housed families in communities across the state and provide justification for financial assistance to these areas.
Officials say that no names will be recorded as part of the survey and it will only take a minute to complete.
The survey is available at the local Ninth District Opportunity, Inc. office, located on Queen Street in Toccoa.
