November 28, 2013

North Georgia Technical College is touting a new dual enrollment program at Habersham Central High School.

27 Habersham Central students are on track this Spring to receive more than just their High School diploma, but also to complete Health Care Science classes that will prepare them to sit for the national Certified Nursing Assistant, or CNA, exam.

The college says this is a new program that has just started as a partnership between HabershamCentralHigh School and North Georgia Technical College.

North Georgia Tech says it has hired a full-time instructor and assisted in setting up the nursing lab at the high school.

The school adds that Habersham Central High School has a lab equipped with three patient beds and mannequins.
