North Georgia Technical College is opening up the application process for its Associate in Science in Nursing program.
Applications for the entry into the program in Fall 2013 are now being accepted.
The application deadline for the first group of students is March 1, 2013.
Those admitted in the first group, a total of 30 students, will start classes in August 2013.
The ASN program will be a direct path to Registered Nursing, which the college states is projected to be one of the two occupations with the highest growth rate in Georgia and among occupations with the most annual openings in North Georgia. The college goes on to say that its desire to implement the degree program is a direct result of growing student demand for allied health training, job availability and projected job growth.
Candidates will be evaluated for entry into the ASN program based on grade point average and test scores from the Health Education Systems, Inc. test that will be administered periodically by North Georgia Technical College.
Those wishing to be considered for entry into the ASN program should complete the application which is available on the NGTC website, www.northgatech.edu, or by contacting the program directly at [email protected] or 706-754-7732.
