NGTC Students Receive Scholarship

Two North Georgia Technical College students are the recipients of scholarships thanks to a corporation.

Automotive Technology student Nicolas Ramirez of Alto and Criminal Justice student Pamela Jones of McDonough were recently chosen to receive $2,500 Grainger Tools for Tomorrow® Scholarships.

Grainger, who awarded the scholarships, is a local distributor of products used to maintain, repair or operate facilities.

According to North Georgia Technical College, the scholarship program offers financial assistance for tuition and books to 250 outstanding students each year who are earning associate’s degrees or certificates in skilled trade and public safety programs at 125 community colleges across the country.

The school says that the students who received the scholarship will also receive a customized toolkit upon graduation to jump start their career.

North Georgia Technical College Director of Institutional Advancement Cynthia Brown says these are some of the school’s most outstanding students who have excellent work ethics and know the value of the education they are getting.
