Three students from the North Georgia Technical College Adult Education Program were honored as Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education, or EAGLE, winners recently.

Cheryl Tooch of Stephens County, Kelly Johnson of Franklin County, and Morgan Ray of Habersham County competed for the honor of being the NGTC delegate and Johnson was selected to represent North Georgia Tech at the state EAGLE conference that will be held in Atlanta in March of 2013.

The Technical College System of Georgia, through its Office of Adult Education, sponsors the annual EAGLE competition each year. The program is designed to create greater awareness of educational opportunities that are available in local communities and to foster greater involvement in lifelong learning.

Students who have demonstrated superior achievement in adult education programs are nominated by their instructors for this tribute.
