NGTC Holds Homecoming

October 25, 2012

Organizers say that homecoming festivities at North Georgia Technical College were a success.

The school held homecoming last Saturday at its Clarkesville campus.

The day began with the 5K Foundation Road Race. Following that, the school held the alumni brunch with a business meeting, followed by the recognition of two Career Achievement Winners, Brad Gooch and Jeff Gulle, and the induction of Michael Fulbright into the North Georgia Technical College Alumni Hall of Fame.

North Georgia Tech President Dr. Gail Thaxton says she is delighted with the Alumni Association at the school.

The Classic Car Show was next on the day’s agenda with over 60 vehicles entered.

Other events also included an Arts & Crafts fair, as well as an amazing burnout and engine blowup

North Georgia Technical College Director of Institutional Advancement Cynthia Brown says it was a thrill to see visitors and so many alumni come out for this special day, adding that the school is proud of the accomplishments of former students and appreciate so much the generosity of contributions to North Georgia Tech’s scholarship funds that were received last weekend.
