NGTC Announces Tools Scholarships

A Toccoa student at North Georgia Technical College is one of two to recently receive a scholarship for tools.

James Burns of Toccoa, an Automotive Technology student, recently received a gift certificate from the Northeast Georgia Antique Auto Region to be used for equipment in his chosen future profession.

Burns and the other winner, a student from Andrews, North Carolina, were chosen from almost 100 students in the North Georgia Technical College automotive programs.

North Georgia Technical College Automotive Technology Instructor Stoney Farmer said they chose these two students because they stood out from the rest, listing a variety of attributes including grades, commitment to the program, work ethics, skills, and attitude.

On hand to present the awards to the scholars were officials from the Northeast Georgia Antique Auto Region Chapter.
