Names Released in Fatal Sunday Accident on Toccoa By-pass

More information is available on a fatal, two-vehicle accident over the weekend in Stephens County.

The accident occurred at about 11:56 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of the Toccoa By-pass and Cawthon Road.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the initial indication is that one pick-up truck was traveling east on Cawthon Road while a second pick-up was traveling south on the By-pass in the right lane.

The state patrol report indicated that the first truck from Cawthon Road pulled out in front of the truck traveling on the By-pass.

Troopers say the truck driving on the By-pass hit the first truck in the left side.

The GSP saidthe two occupants of the truck pulling out of Cawthon Road died in the crash.

They are identified as 74-year-old William C. Partin and 76-year-old Dorothy C. Partin, both of Toccoa.

Meanwhile, the GSP said the driver and two passengers in the other truck were injured and taken to Athens Regional Medical Center.

They are identified as 25-year-old Eddie M. Addison, 24-year-old Hunter G. Addison, and a 1-year-old, all from Toccoa.
