Multiple Boards Meeting Today; “Project Hummingbird” On Agenda

A possible economic development related issue appears on the agenda for three local boards who have all planned meetings for today.

The Stephens County Development Authority has called a meeting for 3:30 p.m. today in its conference room.

Listed under Board Action Items is “Project Agreement for Project Hummingbird.”

Meanwhile, Stephens County Commissioners are scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. in the second-floor courtroom of the historic Stephens County Courthouse in downtown Toccoa for a regularly scheduled meeting.

On the agenda for today’s commission meeting is “Consideration of Motion to Enter Into An Agreement with Project Hummingbird and Authorize Chairman to Sign Memorandum of Understanding.”

Meanwhile, Toccoa City Commissioners have also called a special meeting for today at 4 p.m. in the commission meeting room at Toccoa City Hall.

On the agenda for the special called city commission meeting is “Consideration of Hummingbird Project Agreement.”

There is no information regarding what “Project Hummingbird” is.

Meanwhile, the Development Authority also says it plans to consider action on another item at its 3:30 p.m. meeting regarding another unnamed project known as “Project Blue.”
