Movie Premieres in Toccoa to Full House

“Heritage Falls” makes its debut in Toccoa.

A packed house filled the Ritz Theatre at the Schaefer Center in downtown Toccoa Thursday for the premiere of the movie that was filmed in Toccoa and Stephens County earlier this year.

One of the producers of the film from INSP Films was on hand to introduce the movie, which lasted just under 90 minutes.

All of the shooting locations but one were in Stephens County and included places like the downtown, Toccoa Falls, Stephens County High School, Camp Mikell and Trembly Bald, to name a few.

Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce President Julie Paysen said the film was phenomenal.

“I am so pleased,” said Paysen. “I think they did such a great job. It is such a family-friendly, heart-warming film. The place was packed so that is exciting. It was interesting to hear everybody’s reactions. It is a funny film but family-oriented. I feel very honored and blessed that they chose our community to film this movie.”

There will be two more showings of “Heritage Falls” at the Schaefer Center.

Those are tonight at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $9 for adults and $7 for children under 12 and can be bought in advance at the Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce office or at the door prior to the show.

Tickets to any of the three showings can be purchased at the Chamber during business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
