Billy Morse is set to officially start back on the job as Toccoa City Manager today.
The city announced last week that Morse would begin his duties today.
Morse accepted the city of Toccoa’s offer to return as city manager last week, leaving his former post as Franklin County Manager.
Meanwhile, the Franklin County Board of Commissioners has appointed Franklin County Enginer John Phillips as the interim county manager.
Franklin County Commission Chair Thomas Bridges said last week that the board has not yet begun the search for a permanent replacement to Morse, but adds that will take place shortly.
Bridges said that the Franklin County Commission is hoping to have a new county manager in place for Franklin County by the end of the year.
