More Arrests in Home Invasion

Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley says four additional arrests have been made in connection with the Sunday night home invasion in Martin.

More information will be released as it becomes available.

The home invasion occurred Sunday evening at around 9:30 p.m. on Waters Edge Drive in Martin.

According to the sheriff, four subjects, armed with handguns and long guns, forced their way into a residence in a robbery attempt.

Shirley says during the incident, one of the occupants of the home was able to retrieve a firearm that he kept at the residence and subsequently shot and killed one of the intruders.

The intruder killed was identified as 34-year-old Demetrice Faust of Oglethorpe County, Georgia.
