Mobile Workforce Training Unit in Toccoa Today

The Georgia Mountains Workforce Development Mobile Training Unit will stop in Toccoa today.

It will be at the Toccoa-Stephens County Library on West Savannah Street in Toccoa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

The mobile unit is an extension of the state’s one-stop workforce delivery system.

The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission said the mobile unit provides computer/Internet access that helps meet community needs in the areas of resume and cover letter development, online job searches, career interest assessments, skills testing, mock interview simulation, use of skill enhancing software, and exploration of training eligibility.

Anyone using the mobile unit must be a resident of one of the 13 counties in the Georgia Mountains service area or employed by a company whose business is within that service area.

That service area includes Stephens, Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Towns, Union, and White counties.
