People in the Toccoa area looking for career help will have access to a mobile resource today.
The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission Workforce Development Mobile Training Unit will be at the Toccoa-Stephens County Library on Savannah Street in Toccoa today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Mobile Training Unit Instructor Micah Thomas said that the mobile unit is a free resource that provides a lot of different services.
“They can come write a resume,” said Thomas. “We can help them go over one and give them pointers. They can take career interest assessment and work on typing skills.”
Thomas said the mobile training unit also offers services like help with online job applications and online job searches.
He said people should come prepared, especially if they want to work on their resume.
“If they want to write a resume, I would ask they bring their information, job history, with them,” said Thomas.
People do not have to make an appointment to use the mobile training unit, but if it is busy, Thomas says there may be a wait.
