A search for a missing person takes place over the weekend in Rabun County.

According to the Sky Valley Police Department, 26-year-old Lauren Lindholm went missing around 5:15 p.m. Friday in the area of Alex Mountain Drive and Alpine Lane in Sky Valley.

Crews searched a large section of the woods in that area throughout the night Friday into Saturday morning.

Then, Lanier Swafford with the Rabun County Emergency Management Agency said that just before 1 p.m. Saturday, rescuers located Lindholm.

”At about a quarter till one, the subject we were searching for, Lauren Lindholm, was found inside the property in Sky Valley,” said Swafford.

Swafford says Lindholm was cold from being outside all night, and was evaluated by EMS, but appeared to be uninjured.

The search, from the time crews were called in, took 17 hours, according to Swafford.
