May is Historic Preservation Month

May is Historic Preservation Month and the city of Toccoa is taking time to mark that this month.

This year’s Historic Preservation Month campaign is called “This Place Matters.”

Main Street Toccoa is taking time in May to spotlight local historic landmarks on social media in honor of Historic Preservation Month.

Also, Main Street is encouraging people to take photographs at places that are meaningful to them and share them on social media using the hashtag, #ThisPlaceMatters.
