Martin Spring Festival Set for April 27

April 10, 2013

Preparations are underway for the third annual Martin Spring festival.

This year’s Martin Spring Festival is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 27.

Once again, the Martin Community Group is sponsoring and organizing the festival.

The group’s Jeraldine Hayes said plans are to have a full day of activities.

“We are expecting a lot of vendors,” said Hayes. “We have a full day of entertainment. We have the Classic City Soul coming back. They were a tremendous hit last year.”

The festival will also include a blood drive and numerous children’s activities.

Proceeds from the Martin Spring Festival benefit the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of Toccoa-Stephens County and the Swift Multipurpose Center.

Angie Wiley is also with the Martin Community Group and is encouraging everyone to come out.

“It will be a great day,” said Wiley. “I just want to encourage everybody to come out and help support this cause. It is a great cause. Each year has been fun.”

Times for the Martin Spring Festival on April 27 are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Martin.
