Martin Hydrant Flushing To Start Today

Hydrant flushing is starting today in part of the town of Martin.

Martin town officials said that as a requirement of a program mandated by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, the town is flushing fire hydrants in the Gumlog Road area starting today.

The town said the hydrant flushing will continue in the Gumlog Road area until next Wednesday, June 11.

Town officials said that while the hydrant flushing is taking place, some residents in Martin could experience cloudy water.

They said that is normal when hydrants are flushed.
