Martin Fall Festival Set For Saturday

An annual Fall tradition returns to downtown Martin this weekend.

Saturday is the 22nd annual Martin Fall Festival.

The Martin Woman’s Club is sponsoring the festival again this year.

Mary Camp with the Martin Woman’s Club said organizers are looking forward to a great day with a lot of activities.

“We will have a lot of vendors, some ‘bouncies’ for the kids,” said Camp. “The animal shelter is bringing their dogs and cats and the Farm Bureau is going to have cows and all that, a little petting zoo, for the kids to hang out with. We have the ‘Revelations’ gospel group that is always there for us every year.”

Camp said there will also be a costume contest for children at the festival.

“We are going to have a children’s Halloween costume contest that starts at infants and goes to age 14,” said Camp. “There will be first, second, and third place prizes for that (in different age groups).”

Judging for the costume contest will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at the yellow flashing light in downtown Martin.

This year’s Martin Fall Festival will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
