An annual autumn tradition returns to the town of Martin this weekend.
Saturday is the 21st annual Martin Fall Festival.
The Martin Woman’s Club organizes and runs the event this year.
Mary McNeff with the Martin Woman’s Club said they are looking forward to a great day featuring a lot of different activities.
“We do have quite a few different vendors this year, some things we have not had in the past,” said McNeff.
There will be food and craft vendors, livestock, and children’s activities.
In addition to all of that, McNeff said the Festival will include an event during the afternoon to get everyone, but especially children, in the Halloween spirit.
“At 2 p.m., we are having a costume contest for the children,” said McNeff.
There will be cash prizes in different categories, said McNeff.
“We are hoping to have a lot of children participate,” said McNeff.
The festival will also include music.
This year’s Martin Fall Festival will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in downtown Martin.
Also, AM 630 WNEG’s own Connie Gaines will be providing live reports from the festival from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
