A local consignment store celebrates an expansion.

Last Thursday, the Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for “Just Good Things” and “Just Kids Consignment.”

“Just Kids Consignment” has been around for a number of years, but has now expanded to include “Just Good Things.”

The co-owners are Margaret Perrin and Barbara Smith.

Perrin said the decision was made a while back to add more than just children’s items to their consignment shop.

“We had a lot of requests for ladies’ (items),” said Perrin. “With that in mind, we decided to expand that part of the consignment store to ladies’ (items), household items, accessories, and what not.”

Smith said she then brought back ideas from a consignment shop she visited in South Carolina.

“I was in this small shop in my hometown of Clover, South Carolina and I saw how beautiful a thrift shop or consignment shop could be,” said Smith. “I came back with that thought and gave it to Margaret and we fulfilled what I had described and now we have beautiful things. We have just good things. We do not have anything that is broken or spotted. We want to stay true to our name.”

“Just Good Things” and “Just Kids Consignment” are located at 804 East Currahee Street in Toccoa, next to Mike Jones Ford.

They are open starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

The phone number is 706-282-0695.
