Little League Update

Both Toccoa teams are still alive in All-Star District Little League and Junior League baseball.

Tuesday night, Toccoa’s two remaining All-Star squads took to the field in elimination bracket games in Habersham County.

In the Little League bracket, Toccoa defeated Franklin County in five innings, 13-3.

Ian Rumsey, Chubba Roush, and Zack Feaster all had home runs for Toccoa, while on the mound, Seth Jameson pitched three innings, allowing just one walk and striking out eight.

Franklin County only put one ball into play against Jameson.

Toccoa advances on in the elimination bracket and will play Madison County tonight at 8:30 p.m. Madison eliminated Rabun with an 8-4 victory on Tuesday.

Moving to Junior League baseball, Toccoa defeated Madison, 14-6, in an elimination bracket game.

Toccoa trailed 6-4 before scoring 10 straight runs to come back and then pull away.

Carson Brock paced the offensive attack with three hits and three RBIs.

Meanwhile, Ben Hobbs, Jackson Dean, and Austin Leverette each had two hits and two RBIs, while Ridge Adams scored three runs and also had two RBIs.

Toccoa’s win in Junior League eliminates Madison and sends Toccoa on to a rematch with Habersham in an elimination bracket game.

Habersham defeated Toccoa earlier in the tournament, 16-13.

Toccoa and Habersham will play tonight at 7 p.m. in a Junior League elimination bracket game with the winner moving to the final against Franklin.
