Little League Update

The Toccoa Junior League baseball All-Stars remain alive in the district tournament.

Toccoa beat Rabun by a 14-3 score in an elimination bracket game Monday in Demorest.

Ben Hobbs scored three runs and had two RBIs for Toccoa, while Ty Kellar scored three runs and Jackson Dean added two RBIs.

On the mound, Mason Kimsey pitched four innings and allowed just one run and one hit.

Toccoa will face Madison next in another Junior League baseball elimination game tonight at 8:30 p.m. in Demorest.

Madison lost to Franklin 9-1 in a winner’s bracket game Monday. Franklin will play Habersham tonight at 6 p.m. in a Junior League winner’s bracket game.

Moving to the Little League baseball district tournament, Habersham beat Franklin and Hart beat Madison Monday in winner’s bracket play in Clarkesville.

That means Toccoa will face Franklin in an elimination bracket game in the Little League tournament tonight at 8:30 p.m.

AM 630 WNEG and wnegradio.com will broadcast that Toccoa-Franklin Little League baseball game with air time at about 8:15 p.m.

The other Little League baseball elimination bracket game pits Rabun against Madison at 6 p.m. in Clarkesville.
