Little League Update

Toccoa’s Eli Wenger hit an opposite field walk-off home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to send Toccoa on in the District 11 and 12 year old All-Star Little League baseball tournament at the Doyle Street Park in Toccoa.

Wenger’s home run on a 2-2 pitch gave Toccoa an 8-7 win over Madison, eliminating Madison from the tournament.

Isaiah Martin also had a home run in the game for Toccoa, who stays alive in the tournament’s elimination bracket with the victory.

The Toccoa 11 and 12 year old baseball All-Stars will be back in action tonight at 8:30 p.m. in another elimination bracket game against Habersham, who defeated Rabun 15-8 in another elimination bracket game Monday at the Doyle Street Park.

Meanwhile, the Toccoa Senior League Baseball All-Stars were eliminated from their District Tournament at the Doyle Street Park Monday, losing to Habersham 8-4 in an elimination game.

Habersham will now play Hart for the District Senior League baseball title.

Finally, Franklin took the District Junior League baseball title Monday at the Doyle Street Park, defeating Hart 12-4.
