Little League Update

The Toccoa Junior League Softball All-Stars are into the Southeast Regional Semifinals.

Toccoa defeated North Carolina state champion Rutherfordton Little League 18-8 Monday in their final game in pool play in Fort Myers, Florida.

Everybody had at least one hit for Toccoa and as a team, Toccoa had 15 hits.

Isabella Fernandez had two doubles and four RBIs for Toccoa, while Brynn Roberts added a triple and two RBIs.

Meanwhile, Madison Massee, Fernandez, and Alyssa Shultz all pitched for Toccoa in the win.

With the win, Toccoa finishes 1-1 in pool play, good for second place in their pool.

Toccoa plays the host team, Cape Coral, Florida in today’s semifinals at 6 p.m.

Cape Coral won the other pool on tiebreakers as all three teams in that pool actually finished with 1-1 records.

If Toccoa wins today, it would play for the regional title on Wednesday.
