Little League Update

The Toccoa 11 and 12-year-old Little League softball All-Stars start off the Southeast Regional Tournament with a win.

Toccoa defeated Irmo, South   Carolina 6-0 in their opening game of the tournament Thursday afternoon in Warner Robins, Georgia.

The Toccoa All-Stars got off to a good start with four runs in the first inning to jump out to the early lead they would not relinquish.

Toccoa is now 1-0 in pool play and will play again tonight at 7 p.m. against the North   Carolina state champ, Wilkes County American Little League.

North Carolina is 0-1 in the tourney after losing to Florida 3-1 Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Toccoa Junior League softball All-Stars will begin play in their own Southeast Regional Tournament this weekend in Fort   Myers, Florida.

Toccoa will open that Junior League tournament on Sunday against Florida state champion South Tampa Little League at 10:30 a.m.
