Little League Update

The Toccoa 11 and 12-year-old Little League baseball All-Stars wrap up play in the state tournament with two losses.

In the completion of a game that was postponed for rain Tuesday, Toccoa lost to Newton County 4-3 Wednesday morning.

Newton County tied the game with a two-run home run, then won it on a walk-off home run.

Following that game, Toccoa re-took the field and lost to Belvedere Little League 10-9 in eight innings Wednesday afternoon

Toccoa finished pool play in Richmond Hill with a 0-4 record and will not advance to the semi-finals of the state tournament, which will take place today.

Meanwhile, the 11 and 12-year-old Toccoa Little League softball All-Stars begin play in the Southeast Regional Tournament today in Warner Robins.

Toccoa plays Irmo, South Carolina in their first game at 4 p.m.
