Library Board to Name New Library Manager

The Toccoa-Stephens County Library Board is scheduled to vote on a new library manager at a meeting later this month.

According to an announcement sent by Toccoa-Stephens County Library Board Chairman John Dickerson, the board will vote to name Emily McConnell as the library manager of the Toccoa-Stephens County Library to replace Michelle Austin who has announced her retirement effective December 31.

This vote will be taken at a scheduled meeting which will begin at 1:30 p.m. on November 29 at the Toccoa-Stephens County Library.

The announcement states that the Library Board has determined and concluded that McConnell is the best qualified and only candidate under serious consideration for the position.

In advance of the vote, the Library Board announcement states that the library is hereby releasing all documents which came into its possession with respect to McConnell, noting that copies of all said documents are available at the Library.
