Lavonia Speedway Hosting USCS Tonight

A busy night of racing is on tap tonight at Lavonia Speedway.

Tonight, the United Sprint Car Series makes a stop in Lavonia.

USCS Founder and President Pete Walton said that the series has been to Lavonia many times and it is always a great night.

This year, they are visiting as part of the series’ 20th anniversary season and Walton says about 20 cars are expected to be on hand.

Walton said it should be a full night on the track.

“We have 130 mile an hour winged sprint cars and along with that, late models and stock car racing,” said Walton. “A great night at Lavonia Speedway, probably one of the most popular events all year. I know last year, it was.”

Racing starts at 7:30 p.m. and along with the United Sprint Car Series sprint cars and mini-sprints, all normal racing divisions at Lavonia Speedway will take the track.

Walton said tonight is also a Special Olympics fundraiser night and driver picture night at Lavonia Speedway.
