Lavonia Investigating Smash and Grab Burglaries

The Lavonia Police Department is looking for the public’s help in finding someone who has allegedly burglarized multiple city businesses.

The incidents all occurred during the midnight hour on Wednesday morning.

Lavonia Police Investigator Captain Daniel Carson says three businesses were all burglarized.

He says all of the burglaries were “smash and grab” burglaries where the suspect appeared to only be looking for cash.

According to Carson, the suspect was in and out of the businesses in about 30 seconds each time, but authorities still have a picture of the suspect from video surveillance at one of the businesses.

That video shows a bald-headed white male in his 20s or 30s.
