Land of Spirit Preview Tonight in Lavonia

Work is well underway for this year’s Land of Spirit play at the Lavonia Cultural Center.
The play, entitled, “Under the Magnolias” is being co-written by Lavonia Cultural Center director Logan Davison and Franklin County High School Drama Teacher Charity Henry Moon, with research by Vivian Young.
A preview of the play is coming up tonight at 7 p.m. at the Cultural Center, which is located on Highway 17 in Lavonia.
Afterwards, there will be a time for public comments and questions.
The Land of Spirit plays run every weekend through the month of June into the first week of July.
Auditions for the play are also coming up later this month. Those auditions are scheduled for Friday, March 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 23 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Cultural Center.
Auditions are by drop-in and will include readings for individual characters.
