The Stephens County Lady Indian softball team is off to a 3-2 start on the new season.

Stephens County opened its season last week with a road trip to East Hall on Wednesday.

In the opener, the Lady Indians defeated East Hall 6-3.

Then over the weekend, Stephens County hosted a number of teams for a full slate of action at the Reservation.

The Lady Indians played four games over a two-day period in Toccoa, going 2-2 on the weekend.

Friday, Stephens County fell to East Jackson 3-0.

The Lady Indian softball team came back on Saturday, however, to win two of three games.

Stephens County beat Clarke Central 8-0 and Hart County 9-1, before dropping its final game of the weekend to Banks County 3-2.

The Lady Indians are back in action on Tuesday on the road at Rabun County.
