July 4th Holiday Government Schedules Out

Local government offices are announcing their schedules for the July 4th holiday.

Toccoa City Hall will be closed Thursday in observance of Independence Day, as will Stephens County government offices.

Meanwhile, routes for garbage and recyclables in the city of Toccoa scheduled to be picked up Thursday will be picked up on Friday.

Commercial garbage will be picked up as usual, but yard waste and other items will not be picked up.

The Toccoa Police and Fire Departments will be on duty. Utility department employees, as well as employees from the Public Works Department, will be on call for emergency situations.
