Jamieson Concerned About Four-Wheelers At Emory Johnson Park

Toccoa Mayor Jeanette Jamieson is concerned about individuals riding four wheelers through Emory Johnson Park.

Jamieson addressed those concerns at the Toccoa City Commission meeting on Monday.

“The commission takes great pride in the work that has gone on in that park and before this thing gets any more serious, like the destruction of public property, I think it would be interesting for the folks that have been doing that to know that we know who they are,” said Jamieson.

Jamieson said that she would appreciate a more respectful use of public property moving forward.

“We would appreciate it if they would show more respect, not only for the work that has gone on over there and will continue to go, but also for the fact that it is named after one of our finest young men,” said Jamieson.

Emory Johnson Park is located on West Whitman street in Toccoa.
