Investigation Into Cat Incident At SCHS Nearing Completion

Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter Director Jeff Roberts says that Animal Control hopes to have its investigation into an incident involving a cat castration at Stephens County High School concluded in the next day or two.

Roberts said to WNEG that he can confirm that two cats were castrated, that they had not had rabies vaccinations and that a student was bitten.

The incident occurred last week in an Animal Science class at the high school.

Stephens County School Superintendent Bryan Dorsey said Tuesday that the teacher whose class it was, Daniel Hebert, had withdrawn his resignation that he originally submitted last week.
