Indians Wrap Up Regular Season Tonight

Stephens County wraps up the football regular season tonight.

The Indians will host the North Oconee Titans tonight at the Reservation in Toccoa.

Stephens County enters the game 7-2 overall and 3-1 in Region 8-AAAA after last week’s 35-7 loss to Jefferson.

Meanwhile, North Oconee is winless on the year.

The Titans are 0-9 overall and 0-4 in the region after falling at St. Pius last week, 42-7.

Stephens County JV Football Head Coach Greg McCall said that despite their record, North Oconee will pose a challenge.

“North Oconee football has always been strong,” said McCall. “We have played some competitive games. Again this year, they are going to be strong with the defensive front. They are going to twist and stunt a lot and present some problems with that defensive front seven.”

Kick-off tonight from the Reservation in Toccoa is set for 7:30 p.m.

Coverage begins at 5:30 p.m. on the new 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG with the Indian Tailgate Show.

Coach’s Corner starts at 7 p.m. and pre-game coverage from the stadium starts at 7:15 p.m.

In other Region 8-AAAA action tonight, Oconee County hosts Jefferson and Madison County travels to St. Pius.

Elsewhere around the area, Franklin County is at Monroe Area and Habersham Central hosts Apalachee.
