Indians Travel to Madison Co. Tonight

The Stephens County Indian football team will look to break a two-game losing streak tonight on the road.

The Indians travel to take on Madison County in a Region 8-AAAA contest.

Stephens County is 4-2 overall and 1-2 in region play. Last Friday, the Indians lost a close one to Monroe Area 21-17.

Meanwhile, Madison County is 0-6 overall and 0-3 in region play. The Red Raiders lost last week to Lumpkin County 34-20.

The Indians and Red Raiders have not played since 1999, a Stephens County 34-12 win. The last Madison County win over Stephens County was 1989 by a score of 20-14.

Kick-off from Madison County tonight is set for 7:30 p.m.

Coverage begins on AM 630 WNEG tonight at 6 p.m. with Tommy Palmer’s Countdown to Kick-off. Coach’s Corner starts at 7 p.m. with pre-game coverage getting underway at 7:15 p.m.

In other Region 8-AAAA action tonight, Monroe Area visits Walnut Grove, Chestatee hosts Lanier, and Eastside travels north to face Lumpkin County.

Elsewhere in northeast Georgia, Habersham Central is on the road at North Gwinnett, Hart County hosts Jackson County, and Franklin County is on the road at Oconee County.
