Indians Play Madison Co. Tonight on Homecoming

Stephens County returns home tonight looking to pick up another region win on the gridiron.

The Indians host Madison County tonight at the Reservation in Toccoa.

It is also Homecoming tonight at Stephens County High School.

Stephens County is 5-1 overall and 1-0 in Region 8-AAAA after last Friday’s 27-13 win at St. Pius.

Meanwhile, Madison County is also 5-1 on the season, but 0-1 in region play. The Red Raiders were off last week after losing to Jefferson, 28-7, two weeks ago.

Indians’ Defensive Backs Coach Elijer Martinez said the Red Raiders did a good job in that game, despite the loss.

“We actually went to the Madison County-Jefferson game and we watched that game and we were really impressed,” said Martinez. “Madison County is really good. They were flying on defense and have some good athletes. They are a fast team.”

Kick-off tonight from Stephens County High School is set for 7:30 p.m.

Coverage begins at 5:30 p.m. on the new 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG with the Indian Tailgate Show. Coach’s Corner starts at 7 p.m. and pre-game coverage from the stadium starts at 7:15 p.m.

Tonight is also a “Blackout.”
