Indians Looking For Four in A Row

Stephens County heads back on the road tonight, looking for a third straight Region 8-AAAA football win.

The Indians head west to Cleveland, Georgia tonight to face region foe White County.

Stephens County is 4-1 overall on the season and 2-0 in Region 8-AAAA after defeating Monroe Area last week at home, 29-6.

Meanwhile, White County is 1-4 overall and 1-1 in the region this year after beating Madison County last week, 26-11, for its first win of the year.

Stephens County Running Backs Coach Brannon Hulsey said the Indians will have to be ready to play from the start of the game and play disciplined in order to beat the Warriors tonight.

“This week, we have been preaching you have to do your job,” said Hulsey. “It is assignment football. We really have to hunker down and make sure we do not give up those big plays.”

Kick-off tonight from White County High School in Cleveland is set for 7:30 p.m.

Coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. tonight on AM 630 WNEG with the Indian Road Show.

Coach’s Corner starts at 7 p.m. and pre-game coverage begins at 7:15 p.m.

In other Region 8-AAAA action tonight, the other undefeated team in the region, Buford, visits North Hall; Monroe Area is home to face North Oconee; and Madison County visits Chestatee in a battle of two teams looking for their first win of the season.
