Indians Edged By Madison Co.

Madison County scored an unearned run in the bottom of the sixth inning Wednesday night and edged the Stephens County Indians 6-5 in Danielsville.

Once again, Stephens County had the lead after three innings, 5-3, but the Red Raiders scored two in the fifth inning and one in the sixth inning to pick up the win.

The Red Raiders got the winning run off of relief pitcher Bryson Fowler, who was victimized by a couple of Indian errors.

Zack Kerns pitched four innings in relief to pick up the win for Madison County, who is now 1-2 in the region.

Zack Boyd pitched five innings in a no-decision for Stephens County.

Konnor Quick, Kooper Briley, Boyd, and Jacob Haddock all had RBIs for the Indians.

The Indians are now 5-8 overall and 1-2 in the region.

The two teams will play at the Reservation on Friday in the second game of their two-game series.
