Indian Wrestling Team Takes Third in N.C. Tourney

The Stephens County High School wrestling team pulls in another top-three tournament finish.

This past Saturday, the Indian wrestlers finished third at a tournament in Cherokee, North Carolina.

Only Dawson County in second place and Walhalla in first place topped Stephens County in the team standings.

On the individual level, Jake Murray won the 132-pound weight class.

Taking second place were Blake Peeples at 170 pounds, Devin Burns at 182 pounds and Gary Walker at 285 pounds.

Logan Loudermilk took third at 195 pounds and Corey Kindel took fourth place at 120 pounds.

Stephens County High School wrestling is home tonight to host Walhalla and White County in a dual meet.
