The Stephens County Indian baseball team bounced back from its first region loss earlier this week with a 7-2 win Wednesday on the road against the Walnut Grove Warriors.
Walnut Grove took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on an RBI double by Bailey Dutton.
However, the Indians plated three runs in the top of the third inning and never looked back.
Logan Bell and Evan Rumsey each had two-run doubles for the Indians.
Meanwhile, Kain Hewitt pitched a complete game for Stephens County, allowing just two runs. Hewitt also added a couple of hits at the plate.
The Indians are now 12-3 overall on the season and 5-1 in region play.
Meanwhile, Walnut Grove is also 5-1 in the region and 7-9 overall.
Stephens County High School baseball heads back out on the road Friday for another Region 8-AAAA contest as the Indians will travel to Chestatee to face the War Eagles.
First pitch on Friday is set for 5:55 p.m.
