Indian Baseball Beats Monroe Area

The Stephens County Indian baseball team is back on the winning track.

Stephens County defeated Monroe Area at the Reservation Wednesday in five innings, 11-1.

Mason Long led the Indian offensive attack with three RBIs and Logan Bell also knocked in a couple of runs.

The Indians also got RBIs from Davis McCall and Evan Rumsey.

Kain Hewitt picked up the win on the mound for the Indians.

Stephens County moves to 15-5 overall on the season with the win and 8-3 in Region 8-AAAA.

The Indians and Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes will play again today at Monroe Area.

First pitch is set for 5:55 p.m.
