Humane Shelter Interviewing Director Candidates Next Week

June 21, 2013

The Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter board is narrowing down the candidates to fill the open director’s position.

Shelter Board Chair Harold Andrews said the deadline for applications passed recently and the board has worked with the Human Resources departments for the city of Toccoa and Stephens County to go through those applications.

Andrews said the plan is to conduct some interviews next week.

“The candidates that they have come up with seem, to me at least, to be fantastic,” said Andrews. “I think we are on the right track and I am hopeful that we will have a contract with one before this month is out.”

The shelter is seeking a new director after its initial director, Bob Citrullo, resigned suddenly back in March.
