Humane Shelter Fundraiser Coming Up

June 14, 2013

An annual fundraiser for the Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter is coming up later this month.

The annual “Jailhouse Rock” event will take place on Saturday, June 29 at the Currahee Campus of North Georgia Technical College.

Angie Garland is a member of the Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter Board.

She said this year’s “Jailhouse Rock” will be a lot of fun.

“We will have a live auction, silent auction, music by David Fry, a dance floor, a wonderful menu by Just Right Catering, with complementary wine,” said Garland. “It is going to be a wonderful event.”

She went on to emphasize that all proceeds from the event will go towards the new humane shelter, which is located on Scenic Drive in Toccoa.

“This is our major fundraiser for this year and we count on everyone coming to it, having a good time, and at the same time, we can help the animals,” said Garland.

Everything starts at 6 p.m. with dinner scheduled for 7 p.m.

Tickets are $45 per person.

For more information or to order tickets, contact Garland at 706-886-6761.
