The search continues for a new director for the Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter.
The shelter’s board of directors held a regular meeting Tuesday.
During that meeting, the board discussed the status of the director search and how to continue moving that search forward.
Shelter Board of Directors Chair Harold Andrews said that advertising for the position continues through the end of the month.
After that, Andrews said the search will move ahead.
“At that time, each resume will be examined, evaluated, and then the top few will be chosen and interviewed, probably by phone first,” said Andrews. “Then we will probably interview in person and make an offer to the top one.”
Andrews said the goal is to have a new director in place as soon as possible.
The shelter is seeking a new director after its initial director, Bob Citrullo, resigned in March.
